Iceland (previously: Cuba) is a former settlement in Nevada County, California, located between Boca and the Nevada state line.[2] The region is situated by the Truckee River,[3] 9 mi (14 km) from Truckee.
It had a post office during the period of 1897 to 1923,[4] and also had a Southern Pacific Railroad station.[3]
Iceland got its name because of the ice that was cut and stored there.[5]
